Our History
​
The Nearly New Shop first opened for business in 1958 at 398 S. Murphy in Sunnyvale. In 1978, the shop moved to Alma in Palo Alto. In 1990, we purchased our current building and moved to 225 E. Maude.
​
The shop was opened to support and build the California PEO Home in San Jose. In 2006 when the PEO Home closed, the shop changed focus to support scholarship opportunities for local women.

Nearly New Shop offers a selection of gently used and new items, including clothes, purses, shoes, books, and toys. Donated items arrive daily.

We are a non-profit store owned and operated by 36 PEO chapters of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Our shop is staffed by volunteers from our 36 local PEO chapters.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation so your donations are tax deductible. Please ask for a receipt when you drop off your donations.
